Coverts Project

A covert is a place where different types of vegetation come together. This provides diverse wildlife habitat.

The Coverts Project teaches you about wildlife biology and management, provides reference materials, and instructs you on how to share your knowledge. Using your own strengths and interests, you will develop and implement a community outreach program using what you have learned. Classroom and field instruction includes:

Once accepted into the program, training and reference materials are free if you agree to spend at least 25 hours in the coming year sharing your knowledge with your community. Examples include:
