Tree farm certification means the woodlot owner has made a
commitment to providing:
- forest products
- wildlife habitat
- clean air and water
- recreational opportunities
To qualify:
- At least 10 acres of forest
- Managed for the sustainable production of timber and other
forest products
- Initial inspection and reinspection every 5 years by a
licensed professional forester, as arranged by the Maine Tree Farm
Committee
Pioneer Tree Farm: You are on
your way to meeting Tree Farm qualifications, by developing and
implementing management recommendations
